New Kids on the...Boat? TV Guide Network announced Tuesday, April 29, that it has ordered a brand-new reality show starring '90s boy band New Kids on the Block.

The show, titled Rock This Boat: New Kids on the Block, is billed as an eight-episode series that will feature the band's fans—a.k.a. Blockheads—on a weeklong cruise with the group. The network has also ordered a casting special, presumably to find the most loyal NKOTB followers. (It's like a Saturday Night Live skit waiting to happen!)

New Kids—which, as Blockheads know, is made up of brothers Jordan and Jonathan Knight, Joey McIntyre, Danny Wood, and the newly engaged Donnie Wahlberg—broke up in the mid-1990s but reunited in 2008 to record a new album and go on tour. In the years since, they've sponsored multiple concert cruises, which are so popular that they have a wait list of thousands. A 2014 cruise, from New York City to Bermuda, is scheduled for June.
Currently, the band is preparing for their European tour, which kicks off on May 6 in Stockholm. They also have a New Kids on the Block: After Dark special scheduled for July at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas.

Rock This Boat: New Kids on the Block is one of several new projects announced by TVGN. The network is also developing a "real-life Pitch Perfect" docu-series about college a cappella groups around the country. Another project, Soap Town, will follow a group of former soap actors as they attempt to produce a new series in which they'll also star.
