Katniss Everdeen wouldn't stand a chance! Jennifer Lawrence has reprised her role as Mystique in the X-Men sequel, Days of Future Past—and she is back with a vengeance. In a new video clip from the movie, the Oscar winner shows off her impressive action skills—bending, snapping, and wreaking havoc on her opponents in the upcoming flick.

As the terrifying shape-shifter, Lawrence is first disguised as a mysterious man attending a demonstration meeting led by Peter Dinklage's character, Bolivar Trask. The demo, it turns out, is for a new weapon that can identify mutants, and once it's turned on, the instrument immediately traces the mutant in the room.

Mystique (a role originated by Rebecca Romijin ) quickly transforms into her blue spiky-skinned, red-headed, gleaming-eyed self, and immediately launches into an action-packed sequence. Leaping over tables and gracefully writhing across the floor, J. Law deftly delivers blows left and right.

Though the tough moves were most likely delivered by a stunt double, Lawrence admitted that training and preparing for X-Men in the past was no easy feat. "It was a long process," Lawrence told The Telegraph back in 2011. "I just got tired thinking about it… I have scars."

Even so, movie producer/writer Simon Kinberg recently told Entertainment Weekly that producers are vying for more J. Law-Mystique action. "I love what Jen Lawrence has done with her," Kinberg said of Mystique's double-edged character. "I feel like because she is in such a crowded ensemble, there’s so much more opportunity if you were to follow her solo," he added.
