Jimmy Fallon knows what the people want. After filmmaker Tatia Pilieva's "First Kiss" video went viral earlier this week, the Tonight Show host decided to put his own spin on the clip, which features 20 strangers meeting and kissing for the first time. His version, which debuted on Thursday, March 13, is called "First Lick" -- and stars an adorable cast of puppies and kittens.
"There's been a bunch of parodies," Fallon said on his show, by way of introduction. "We decided we'll jump into the ring here. So we made a parody of our own, but we used puppies and kittens. I think it came out pretty well."

Indeed, "First Lick" is both cute and funny, with artsy black-and-white shots of the animals slobbering all over each other (and, at one point, the camera). There's even a funny clip of one dog sniffing another's rear end.

The original "First Kiss" video has been viewed more than 47 million times since it was posted on March 10. Though it was originally thought to be just a fun, charming short, it turned out later to be an ad for L.A.-based clothing company Wren. The people in the clip are, in fact, strangers, but many of them are also models, actors, and musicians, Wren founder Melissa Coker told USA Today .
