Girl Meets World: Rider Strong, Betsy Randle, William Russ Reprise Boy Meets World Roles: Picture

Swooning over Shawn! Rider Strong is officially reprising his role as Cory Matthews' best friend Shawn Hunter in an episode of Disney's Girl Meets World. Danielle Fishel, who is reprising her role as Topanga alongside Ben Savage, shared a behind-the-scenes snapshot of Strong on set via Instagram.

"Happy to have these familiar faces on set with us this week! #GirlMeetsWorld," Fishel, 32, wrote on Tuesday, March 18. In the photo, Fishel, Savage, and the young cast are enjoying a meal with Strong, 34, at the dinner table. And (bonus!) Betsy Randle and William Russ are also there to reprise their roles as Cory's parents, Amy and Alan Matthews.

"Familiar faces on #GirlMeetsWorld," Disney Channel's Twitter handle tweeted soon after. "And one man in his time plays many parts," Strong replied back. "Sorry, Shakespeare."

It's been an astounding 14 years since Strong rocked long locks on Boy Meets World, but he's excited to be back. "It's like time travel," he told The Hollywood Reporter of his return. "I get to go back to high school, but now I have a clue of what's going on." (The trio will be making an appearance on a holiday-themed episode.)

Strong, Randle, and Russ are just three of the latest actors to reprise their roles from the early '90s classic. As previously reported, William Daniels (Mr. Feeny) will appear in Girl Meets World's pilot. On March 13 it was confirmed that Lee Norris , who played Cory and Shawn's nerdy middle school classmate, would also appear in an episode.

Girl Meets World received a full season order by Disney in January.
