Trent Reznor Tweets "F--k You" After Grammys Closing Performance Is Cut Short

Music's biggest night did not go as planned for one mega rockstar -- and he let it be known. Nine Inch Nails' Trent Reznor, who closed the 56th Annual Grammy Awards, took to Twitter to blast CBS after his performance was cut short Sunday, Jan. 26.

"Music's biggest night... to be disrespected," Reznor shared with his 1.6 million fans. "A heartfelt F--K YOU guys."

The Grammy-winning rocker, 48, was joined by Dave Grohl, Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age and Fleetwood Mac's Lindsey Buckingham -- essentially the dream team of the genre. First opening their set with NIN's "Copy of A," the quartet then moved on to perform QOTSA's "My God Is the Sun," when it was cut short by the closing credits of the show.

This is not Reznor's first time blasting the Grammys. Back in December 2011, the fear-inducing vocalist -- who also took home a Best Original Score Oscar for The Social Network earlier that year -- told The Hollywood Reporter that he did not know where the two Grammy trophies he previously won were to be found: "Why don’t the Grammys matter? Because it feels rigged and cheap," he said in the interview. "Like a popularity contest that the insiders club has decided."

His onstage bandmates, meanwhile, have yet to address Sunday night's show-cut-short. In fact, Foo Fighters frontman Grohl has been sharing fun Facebook updates from backstage of the Staples Center following his performance, including a smiley face emoji status, and pics of him posing with Sir Paul McCartney and Homme.
