Thank Lori’s ghost for The Talking Dead.
The empty void between the season 5 finale of The Walking Dead and the way-to-far-off premiere of season 6 would be so much more tortuous if fans were left to deal with the aftermath on their own. Instead, Norman Reedus (Daryl), Melissa McBride (Carol), and very special guest Lennie James (Morgan) sat down with Chris Hardwick on The Talking Dead to discuss what, exactly, just happened, and what fans can expect when TWD returns to AMC for season 6.
PHOTOS: TV's most shocking deaths
After the edge-of-your-seat intensity of Daryl’s brush with death, Glen’s zombie/human tag-team death match, and Rick’s ultimate act of Cartman-style “Respect my Authoritah,” a lighthearted and informative gathering with friends on a cushy couch (with a studio audience) is just what the doctor ordered. Here are five things we learned from The Talking Dead season finale to tide us over until we get more TWD.

Lennie James is British
As soon as James opened his mouth to answer his first question, Talking Dead host Hardwick was faux-taken aback by James’ accent. So entertaining it was that almost immediately it sparked a #morganisbritish trend on Twitter.
Another fun fact about Morgan, the man we first met in the TWD premiere -- he'll be back for season 6. "I'm allowed to say that I'll be there for one episode at least," he revealed.
Carol and Daryl, to Be or Not to Be?
Could a possible romance be simmering between America’s oddest yet most lovable not-quite-a-couple? The people -- or at least a very specific group of vocal fans online -- want to know! We didn’t get a definitive answer to this fan-posed question, but we did get some very cute, touches, nods and winks by McBride and Reedus, who definitely know what you people want.
Carol’s Comeuppance
"I kind of feel like I was little more Team Carol than Team Rick,” Hardwick said of the finale. Could Carol take on more of a leadership role in season 6? The potential is there: The Walking Dead costume designer Eulyn Womble said in a taped segment that Carol's costume was supposed to portray "how far Carol has taken herself, with a lot of help from her new friends."

Daryl Has a Lot of Love for Michonne
When asked by a fan if there might be some tension between Daryl and Michonne now that Michonne seems to have taken on the role of Rick’s deputy, Reedus said he didn’t think so. Daryl has a lot of love for Michonne, and, as host Hardwick pointed out, it was Daryl’s choice to venture outside the walls of Alexandria, leaving the group in Michonne’s capable hands.

Next Season Will be Bigger and Better
The Walking Dead showrunner Scott M. Gimple wasn't able to make the Talking Dead taping (since the couch was pretty full already), but sent a note promising that Season 6 would be even more explosive than ever. "For a good while now, humans have been the bigger threat. At the start of our next season, that will change," he wrote. "We're currently putting into motion some of our most ambitious stuff yet and things are going to get very big, loud, and scary."
