YES! Melissa McCarthy has signed on for Paul Feig’s all-female Ghostbusters reboot. And in talks to join her are Kristen Wiig , Leslie Jones, and Kate McKinnon, who are all currently in negotiations for the film, Us Weekly has learned.
According to The Hollywood Reporter , the remaining three ladies are expected to sign on soon to round out the foursome, who will take over the roles made famous by Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, and Ernie Hudson. The reboot is expected to shoot in New York City this summer.
Feig came on board and decided on an entirely new take on the iconic film following original director Ivan Reitman backed out of a reboot after Ramis’ death in February 2014.
