Larry King Ponders the Meaning of Life, Unleashes His Innermost Thoughts in Late-Night Twitter Spree

And now, deep thoughts by Larry King. With his USA Today column long since killed, veteran news anchor King has had to find a new outlet for his written musings about life, love, pop culture, and politics. That outlet, it seems, is Twitter.

Late Sunday, Oct. 19, the former CNN host went on an hour-long Twitter spree, sharing dozens of random ruminations with his 2.52 million followers. The onslaught of tweets began with one about Dane Cook's Showtime special, and then touched on everything from food ("Did a man named Cobb invent the salad?") to sports ("I miss Derek Jeter already") to comics ("Why didn't I save my first issue of Batman?").

The next Sunday, Oct. 26, King again took to the micro-blogging site to share his "two cents." The topics ranged from the mundane ("I've been having a hard time finding Nestle's Crunch bars lately") to the personal ("The proudest thing in my life is parenthood").

Us Weekly rounded up the 10 silliest and/or most profound thoughts from King's most recent late-night spree.

Lest anyone think he wasn't in his right mind at the time, the Politicking host shared an Instagram video of himself setting the record straight. "I'm not drunk, I haven't been hacked, and it's only 11 o'clock here," he said in the brief clip.
