Jim Carrey Tests David Letterman for Ebola: "Have You Ever Kissed a Monkey?"

Can't be too careful! Jim Carrey stopped by The Late Show With David Letterman on Wednesday, Oct. 29, to chat about the upcoming Dumb and Dumber sequel — but before he got down to business, the actor insisted on testing late-night host Letterman for Ebola.

After sticking a thermometer between the comedian's lips, Carrey, 52, grilled Letterman, 67, about his recent activities. "Have you traveled abroad lately? Have you ever kissed a monkey or licked an airport toilet seat?" he asked.

Letterman happily played along, trying to keep the thermometer from slipping as he laughed. "You travel the world promoting the movies and such," he said once he'd been given the all-clear from his guest. "Are you worried about diseases and coming down with things?"

Cohen first asked Dina, 43, about her relationship with her autistic nephew Nicholas, the 5-year-old son of Jacqueline and Chris. "I don't know Nicholas at all," she responded, adding that she has a photo of him on her dresser and she prays for him. "The work that I do, I see children… and he's progressing," she continued.

The hard-hitting Bravo host, 46, also posed a tough question about whether Dina would meet Nicholas if she were invited by the Lauritas. "Probably not," she responded. "I have to say what hurts me more is my daughter. That's her godfather and she grew up with [Chris]. I'm more bothered for the kids who understand."

Dina went on to rehash her epic and mysterious feud with Jacqueline, Caroline, and her brother. The mom of one revealed she had invited the entire gang to her daughter Lexi's high school graduation party this past June, but wasn't asked to attend her niece Lauren Manzo's engagement party.

"I invited everybody to Lexi's graduation party. Jacqueline, Chris, Caroline, the kids," Dina recalled.

"And did they come?" Cohen asked.

"No," Dina responded, point-blank.

Being the new kid in New Kids on the Block wasn't always easy for Joey McIntyre. During an appearance on HuffPost Live on Tuesday, Oct. 28, the boy bander opened up to host Caitlyn Becker about being the youngest and latest to join the group.

McIntyre, now 41 and starring on the CBS series The McCarthys, was brought in to replace ex-member Jaime Kelley, who left after just six months. He joined Donnie Wahlberg, Danny Wood, and brothers Jonathan and Jordan Knight, who had grown up with Kelley in the same Massachusetts town.

"It wasn't a huge shift," the '90s teen idol told Becker, noting that it took three years after that for NKOTB to really hit the big time. "It wasn't like he got fired and then the next day we had a hit record. And he wasn't fired. It just wasn't for him and he moved on."

Kelley's loss turned out to be McIntyre's gain — but as the baby of the group, he endured a fair share of teasing from his older bandmates. "I was from another town...I was from community theater, kind of a middle class kid," he explained. "These guys were like pretty tough street kids."

That sometimes — but not always — worked to his advantage. "Boys will be boys. They were teenagers. I mean, they weren't awful. They stuck up for me and whatever," he said, "but it was tough to fit in for a while. I mean, I was tiny."

Scandal's Olivia Pope Drinks Wine Wrong, New York Times Wine Critic Says

Can't wine 'em all. New York Times wine critic Eric Asimov has a bone to pick with Scandal's Olivia Pope. According to his Oct. 28 column about the boozing habits of TV's leading ladies, Kerry Washington 's tough-as-nails D.C. fixer has been drinking her beloved red wine all wrong.

Pope, whose devotion to fine wines is as ever-present on the ABC show as her tortured passion for President Fitzgerald Grant (Tony Goldwyn), often purports to be something of a connoisseur about her favorite beverage. She frequently spouts off the names of (fictional) vineyards and supposedly expensive varieties, and more often than not ends her day with a large goblet of the stuff.

The problem, Asimov writes, is that she "treats even the finest wine as if it were a can of beer" — the drink of choice, it's worth noting, of boyfriend Jake Ballard (Scott Foley).

"She habitually grabs goblets by the bulb rather than the stem, as a wine lover would," Asimov observes. "She never swirls and sniffs, the ritual that non-wine drinkers alternately find amusing, affected, or annoying. She guzzles rather than sips."

He goes on to note that while other characters — The Good Wife's Alicia Florrick (Julianna Margulies), for example — are guilty of the same mistakes, Pope should know better. "It can't be mere carelessness that blinds writers to her lack of technique," he writes. "There are wine lovers even in Hollywood who would note such behavioral inconsistencies. It must be a matter of choice by the writers."

He further concludes that Pope might seem "off-putting" if she did drink wine like the connoisseur she pretends to be. "Gladiators, as Olivia and her associates style themselves, don't swirl," he muses. "They gulp."
