Lea Michele is following up her single "Cannonball" with a new ballad. Off her debut album Louder, the 27-year-old Glee actress released the song "Battlefield" on Friday, Dec. 27.

"It's easy to fall in love, but it's so hard to break somebody's heart. What seemed like a good idea has turned into a battlefield," a raspy Michele sings. "Once lust has turned to dust and all that's left's held breath. Forgotten who we first met."

She continues: "We seemed like a good idea. No blood will spill if we both get out now. Still it's hard to put the fire out."

Michele has been nothing but excited to share her new music with her Gleeks. On Dec. 10, the young Hollywood star revealed the cover of her album. Two days later, the former Broadway actress performed her first single on the X Factor finale.
The entire 11-track list for Louder hits shelves on March 4. The album is already available to pre-order.
