Ah, the way they were. Nathan Sykes and Ariana Grande -- a.k.a. Nariana -- may have ended their teen-dream romance, but they'll always have the memory of their romantic first date. Appearing on the cover of Cosmopolitan 's February issue, the 20-year-old "Baby I" singer dishes about how the Wanted boy bander wooed her with flowers and pastries.

"We were going back to his hotel to watch a movie, and he had Laduree macarons and sunflowers waiting -- I love Parisian baked goods, and sunflowers are my favorite flower," Grande tells the mag. "He had taken the DVD player out of the bedroom and into the living room, because he said he didn't want to take me into the bedroom on the first date."

Us Weekly first broke the news that the two were dating back in August, after they released their duet, "Almost Is Never Enough," for the movie The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones. However, sources confirmed to Us shortly before Christmas that they had split.

Don't expect Grande to go wild now that she's single, though. "I think I'm an old soul," she tells Cosmo. "What excites younger people doesn't excite me...I'm kind of a boring, normal girl who likes Harry Potter and to sit in her pajamas and sing."

"A lot of my friends are partiers," she adds, "but I've never really clicked with that. I like Barbra Streisand, and when was the last time you saw Babs getting, like, turnt up? That's kind of the road that I, as a lady, would like to go down."

The iCarly actress is certainly off to a promising start. Grande is one of the biggest breakout stars of 2013 -- much to her apparent surprise.

"I never really expected to be taken seriously as an artist, and it's just been the ultimate, proudest achievement," she confesses. "I've dealt with a lot of people not knowing what to expect from me because of my age and my personality. Anna Paquin's Rogue Scenes Cut from X-Men: Days of Future Past

X-Men: Days of Future Past will not be going rogue at all. Anna Paquin, who played Rogue in the original X-Men trilogy films, has been completely cut from the latest sequel, director Bryan Singer revealed to Entertainment Weekly . The Oscar-winning actress, 31, shot a rescue sequence with Ian McKellan (Magneto), Patrick Stewart (Professor X) and Shawn Ashmore (Iceman) set to appear early on in the film.

"Through the editing process, the sequence became extraneous," Singer told EW. "It's a really good sequence and it will probably end up on the DVD so people can see it. But like many things in the editing process, it was an embarrassment of riches and it was just one of the things that had to go. Unfortunately, it was the one and only sequence Anna Paquin was in, the Rogue character was in. Even though she's in the materials and part of the process of making the film, she won't appear in it."

Singer stressed that the True Blood star's performance had absolutely no bearing on the cut, and that she was only on set for a week. "She did a fantastic job. She was awesome in the sequence. She's a brilliant actress. I would work with her in a heartbeat."

Paquin has already learned of her fate, too. "She completely understood," Singer said of Stephen Moyer 's wife. "It's very disappointing, but she's very professional and she knows that stuff happens, particularly with material you shoot early on in production. Films evolve."

X-Men: Days of Future Past is set for release next summer and stars Jennifer Lawrence, Evan Peters, Nicholas Hoult, Hugh Jackman, Ellen Page, Peter Dinklage, Halle Berry and James McAvoy, among others.

Kanye West Vows to Not "Talk S--t" for "Six Months, At Least"

Is Kanye West turning over a new leaf in the new year? The "Bound 2" rapper, 36 -- whose countless rants have gotten him into trouble on more than a few occasions over the last several months -- has vowed to keep his mouth shut for "six months, at least" in 2014. He made the proclamation in a 27-minute-long speech at his final Yeezus concert of the year in Toronto, Canada, on Monday, Dec. 23.

"Everything I'm saying that's not allowed, soak it in right now. This might be the last time y'all hear me talk s--t for a long time," he told the crowd. "Might be another, like, six months. At least. You're just gonna have to run back the interviews and s--t if you wanna hear some realness!"

"I'm gonna tell y'all right now: All of the ideas, the things they call rants...save those tapes and everything," he continued. "Because I've decided to completely focus everything in 2014 on all the new ideas, all the creative outlets."

The controversial hip hop star went on to address some of his issues with companies like Nike, which declined to give him royalties for his Air Yeezy footwear. "I'm not [going to] ever bring up Nike again. The only way I'll bring them up is in a positive light," he resolved. "Because I actually appreciate the opportunity to have been able to make my own shoe with them, and if I didn't have the opportunity I wouldn't have my deal I have with Adidas right now."

He made a similar promise regarding the Grammys, which earned his ire earlier this month for giving him only two nominations for his critically acclaimed album Yeezus.

Put it this way: When you’re watching a comedy and find yourself feeling nostalgic for Mike Tyson’s way with a punch line, it’s time to turn out the neon lights.

4. Gangster Squad

Released and buried waaaaaay back in January, this cliche-ridden drama about the 1940s L.A. mobster scene never feels authentic. That's a disappointment. The fact that the film features cartoonish, career-worst performances from Sean Penn , Josh Brolin , Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone ? That's a crime.

3. Stoker

There’s a fine line between a provocative, stylish thriller and pretentious art-house dreck, and this one crosses it. Nicole Kidman is the icy widow who lets her cold-blooded brother-in-law move in and care for her frosty daughter. The extended pauses and morose characterizations are so off-putting, audiences at one Sundance Film Festival screening walked out in droves. Those who didn’t were probably too lazy to crawl over the people sitting in their aisle.

Sorry, Channing Tatum ! Still love you! But, wow, was this a bloated and hackneyed disaster -- even by awful summer of ’13 standards. (Talking to you, Lone Ranger, 2 Guns, Smurfs and Man of Steel). Tatum is the security guard trying to protect the president (Jamie Foxx ) from lunatics. Not a single shred of originality is on the agenda, other than a scene in which Tatum chats with a squirrel. Calling this cheesy fun just insults audiences. And cheese.

Lea Michele Releases New Ballad Song "Battlefield": Listen Here!

Lea Michele is following up her single "Cannonball" with a new ballad. Off her debut album Louder, the 27-year-old Glee actress released the song "Battlefield" on Friday, Dec. 27.

Anna Paquin's Rogue Scenes Cut from X-Men: Days of Future Past

X-Men: Days of Future Past will not be going rogue at all. Anna Paquin, who played Rogue in the original X-Men trilogy films, has been completely cut from the latest sequel, director Bryan Singer revealed to Entertainment Weekly . The Oscar-winning actress, 31, shot a rescue sequence with Ian McKellan (Magneto), Patrick Stewart (Professor X) and Shawn Ashmore (Iceman) set to appear early on in the film.

"Through the editing process, the sequence became extraneous," Singer told EW. "It's a really good sequence and it will probably end up on the DVD so people can see it. But like many things in the editing process, it was an embarrassment of riches and it was just one of the things that had to go. Unfortunately, it was the one and only sequence Anna Paquin was in, the Rogue character was in. Even though she's in the materials and part of the process of making the film, she won't appear in it."

Singer stressed that the True Blood star's performance had absolutely no bearing on the cut, and that she was only on set for a week. "She did a fantastic job. She was awesome in the sequence. She's a brilliant actress. I would work with her in a heartbeat."

Paquin has already learned of her fate, too. "She completely understood," Singer said of Stephen Moyer 's wife. "It's very disappointing, but she's very professional and she knows that stuff happens, particularly with material you shoot early on in production. Films evolve."

X-Men: Days of Future Past is set for release next summer and stars Jennifer Lawrence, Evan Peters, Nicholas Hoult, Hugh Jackman, Ellen Page, Peter Dinklage, Halle Berry and James McAvoy, among others.

Vin Diesel Shares New Fast and Furious 7 Release Date, Final Paul Walker Scene Photo

4/10/15 for FF7. Three weeks after the shocking car accident death of Paul Walker, his friend and costar Vin Diesel unveiled the new release date for Fast and Furious 7 via Facebook. Sharing an on-set photo ("the last scene we filmed together"), Diesel wrote to his followers, "There was a unique sense of completion, of pride we shared… in the film we were now completing… the magic captured… and, in just how far we've come . . . "

Walker and his costars had been in the midst of filming the latest installment of the mega-franchise when, following a charity event, he and friend Roger Rodas were killed in a fiery car crash Nov. 30 in Santa Clarita, Calif.

Production on Fast and Furious 7, originally slated for a July 11, 2014 release, had been put on indefinite hold earlier this month as cast, crew and fans reeled from Walker's untimely passing.
